Alexa Dunas

Alexa Davalos Dunas is an American actress was born on May 28, 1982 in Paris, France. She started as a model but ended up as an actress. She comes from a long line of performers. She is the daughter of Elyssa Davalos, an actress and Jeff Dunas, a photographer father, and granddaughter of American actor Richard Davalos. Her parents divorced when she was 8. She speaks French, Dutch and Greek descent. Davalos speaks French fluently. Before settling in New York at aged of 17, Davalos spent most of her childhood in France and Italy. She supported herself by modeling for photographers, then discovered an inborn passion for acting and made the decision to make it the focus of her life.


She eventually grew up to be a stunningly beautiful teenager and began modeling while being in theatrical productions and also pursuing her love for ballet. As a teenager she did a lot of commercial work, but in 2002 she decided to act full time. Alexa made her screen debut at the age of 3 when she appeared in John Frankenheimer’s made-for-TV thriller, Riviera, which starred her mother. However, Alexa Davalos made her feature film debut starring in The Chronicles of Riddick as Kyra. Since then Davalos’ acting has landed her roles in a number of Hollywood films. Alexa is with a doubt one of Hollywood’s fastest rising young stars.


Davalos stepped up several steps with a role such as Coastlines (2002), The Ghost of F. Scott Fitzgerald (2002), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), Feast of Love (2007), The Mist (2007), Defiance (2008), and Clash of the Titans (2010).
