Disneyland Paris in the Springtime

Spring is in bloom at Disneyland Paris. French families and tourists around the UK and the world are flocking to the park more than ever before. Visitors to Disneyland Paris are surpassing the number of tourists at the Eiffel Tower and the Arch de Triumph. With new attractions and bright and vibrant colors and music, this year could be the most prolific year for the park since its inception in 1992. The addition of Walt Disney Studios Park in 2002 added to the already popular attractions.

Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris, formerly Euro Disney Resort, is located in Marne-la-Vallée, only 32 km away from Paris. There are several ways to get there. There is an Eurostar train directly, and another one going through the city of Lille. Some packages have this train included. If you’re going by plane, there are several airlines flying to Charles De Gaulle and Orly airports. The last one is very convenient, because you can take a Paris airport taxi. You’ll have a private transfer with an English speaking driver only for your family or group (not shared with others) that takes you directly from the airport to Disneyland. Going by car is also easy, and people hosted in one of their hotels have free parking. To other guests there are external paid parkings.

This year, the park has added more attractions and special events than any year previous. Goofy’s Garden Party consists of 22 Disney characters and 56 dancers in fancy costumes and plays 4 times throughout the day. Park visitors can ride on Minnie’s Little Spring Train through decorated scenes with bunnies and eggs. Even with the absence of colorful flowers, due to wet and cold weather, colored wood chips and decorations are found everywhere throughout the park. Visit the garden from Alice in Wonderland to meet all the characters from the classic Disney movie. With so many attractions, there is something for all ages in your family.

Seventeen young people with terminal illnesses and their families, sponsored by the Liam Fairhurst Foundation, recently visited the park and made magical memories. They were flanked by constables and Disney characters as they toured the many attractions found at Disneyland Paris. The kids came from all over the UK to see Rapunzel, Cinderella, and other famously popular Disney princesses.

The park generates millions for the French economy and employs nearly 12,000 European permanent positions as well as numerous part time and specialty jobs. The park was built as an homage to the many stories that Walt Disney learned from European storytellers and made into the timeless classic movies and television shows that we have known and loved for years. An estimated 15 Million people visit Disneyland Paris each year and is the 4th most visited theme park in the world. June has been identified as the most ideal month to visit the park based on the weather in Paris, and it is also recommended to purchase the ‘FastPass’ service to bypass some of the long wait times to enjoy rides and attractions.
