Marion Cotillard

Marion Cotillard is a French actress, was born on September 30, 1975 in Paris, France to parents Jean-Claude Cotillard, an actor, mime, playwright and director, and Niseema Theillaud, an actress and drama teacher. Cotillard grew up in Orleans together with her parents and twin brothers, and moved to Paris at the age of 16. In a family of stage actors and began her professional career in her teens. Cotillard began performing during her childhood, showing on stage in one of her father’s plays.

A very talented actress and a great woman, smart and beautiful and charmed everyone around her with her unique French glamour. Cotillard would have been a singer if had she not pursued her acting, although she had the chance to do both when she’d cast in La vie en rose movie. She is a famous Academy Award and two-time Cesar Award winning French actress.

With a long-time boyfriend Guillaume Canet, Marion Cotillard gave birth to her first child, Marcel Canet, in May 2011.

CAREER

After small appearances and performances in theater, Cotillard had occasional and minor roles in television series, but her career as a film actress started in the mid-1990s with small but recognizable roles. While still a teenager, Cotillard made her cinema debut in the film L’histoire du garçon qui voulait qu’on l’embrasse. Her first prominent screen role was as “Lilly Bertineau” in Taxi, a role which she reprised in two sequels.

In 2012 she was voted “Sexiest Woman in the World” in the Hungarian magazine Periodika.

She was ranked as having one of the most “Beautiful Famous Faces” by “The Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Famous Faces From Around the World.” She was ranked #12 in 2010, #15 in 2009, #4 in 2008, #3 in 2007, #8 in 2006, #17 in 2005, #35 in 2004, #20 in 2003, and #31 in 2002.
